Style Diary: New Obsession

Hi there! The snow's quite a big difference from when you last saw me, eh? Winter came a bit earlier this year where I live, but the snow everywhere is just so pretty that I don't quite mind.

I somehow managed to drag my brother out of the house in the cold (even if it was just for a mere two minutes) to take some photos of me for this Style Diary. It was pretty darn cold but I'm really happy with how these turned out. Plus, I'm pretty sure this is your first glimpse of me in full-on snow ever which is pretty exciting.

Scarf: Globo Shoes | Sweater: Garage | Skirt: Dynamite | Belt: Dynamite | Tights: Garage | Socks: Chinese Laundry | Shoes: Vintage | Lipstick: Revlon "Plum Velour"

For this outfit, I decided to play with a few bolder colours because I fell into the Boring Winter Colour Rut over the past week or so. To balance out the bright blue sweater, I added a purple skirt to tone it down, but not completely. A thick belt help cinch everything in at the waist and I paired it with grey tights to add some light to the outfit.

Since it's winter, I'd be pretty cold if the thin tights were the only thing I wore, so I put some black knee-high socks to add a bit of warmth. I've also been super obsessed with these vintage platform booties that I've been wearing non-stop lately. I'm pretty frigging short so I could use all the height that I can get, preferably in the form of high, chunky, but comfortable platform shoes that are kind of winter-friendly.

I've also been really into my new lipstick and just make up in general. I've tried not to be that interested in it at all because I spend enough money on clothes as it is, I don't need to dish out anymore of appearance-related things, but I tried... and failed. If I'm honest, I'm not really that sad about it because I feel pretty cool in dark lipstick.

Have you been attacked by snow where you are? Does it snow where you are? Do you have any other dark lipstick recommendations (because a girl could always use another one, aha)? Leave your comments and share your thoughts below!

Thank you so much for reading!

  1. Ah, snow!! It never snows here, and it's like 25 Celsius right now. Not that I'm complaining, but it'd be nice to experience that sometime in my life.
By the way, I read the magazine you made, and it's SO awesome. It's amazing you guys made it all by yourselves. That must have taken a lot of time. So, when is the next issue XD ? (and just curious, why is it called LEO?)

    1. Thank you!!! I'm really glad that you enjoyed it!!! It literally makes me so happy.
It's called LEO because we weren't feeling very creative and our school mascot's a lion... so LEO was born! x
