October's Big Five

Hi there! Isn’t it great how it so happens to be the first day of the month that I’m posting this? I’m pretty proud of how that worked out. There are a million thoughts racing through my mind right now due to the excitement of the start of October and one of them is how the hell is it already October? Like, where the hell is 2014 going? I know I say that like every month and you might get sick of me hearing me say it, but come on, I can’t possibly be the only one whose mind is just a bit blown right now.

Let’s open our arms big and wide and welcome the season of spiced pumpkin and cozy sweaters and get into what you should be getting pumped for this month.

Wardrobe Favourite: September's Trusty Topshop Bucket Bag

Hi there! “Wardrobe Favourite” is a new column I’m starting that is pretty self-explanatory. Every month, I’ll share with you one thing I’ve just been obsessed with all month. In my weekly outfit posts, I try my best to change things up and put together outfits you haven’t seen before, so you usually don’t get to see the things I’ve been loving, so hopefully these posts will do a better job of showcasing those favourites.

This month, my favourite isn’t actually a clothing piece, but a black and white bucket bag that my friend got for me from Topshop when he was in Vancouver. If you’ve seen bucket bags previously, you’ll agree that the shape is pretty much standard. This one’s got a nice full tassel made of a similar material as the bag and a strap around the top that kind of closes the bag in a way. I don't know about you, but I absolutely despise it when bags have tassels that are limp little things. A little bit of extra material goes a long way, for sure. There’s also a nice thick strap so I can wear the bag either on one shoulder or crossbody, plus it’s all adjustable.

Basically perfect.

Ultimate Fall Essentials

Image Credit: Billy Wilson via Flickr
Hi there! Inspired by Raise.com, I figured that since it's very nearly fall, it'd be a good idea to share with you my fall essentials for this year.

Raise.com is a website where you can sell or buy gift cards for a discount. We all get gift cards to places sometimes that we don’t actually shop at very often and they end up wasting away in our wallets, so I really love how Raise.com gives you a chance to both get rid of unwanted gift cards and buy them at a discounted price.

For all the essentials I’ll be mentioning, you can buy gift cards from the site to get whatever it is you’re looking for at a lower price. I’ll also be including links for each one to some stores at which you can purchase these items for your benefit as well!

So let’s get into it.

Back to School: What to Wear Your First Week

Hi there! Today is the day that the back to school posts begin and what better way to start than with the classic first day outfits post? I figured that since there are so many of those out there already, including the one I did last year, I decided to switch it up a bit this year and write about what to wear that whole first week. If you're looking to make a lasting impression, wearing your best outfit on the first day just won't be enough - you'll have to keep it up for a good while. Not that that's really a problem anyway, especially with all the inspiration you'll get after reading this post.

Style Diary: Grandma's Ombré

Hi there! I'm going to start off by saying that it's freaking cold where I live. It was perfectly fine the Monday when I took these photos, the ideal weather I'd say, but now, the cold follows me everywhere. In class, when I'm waiting at my bus stop, when I'm at the gym, and even when I'm at home. I mean, just leave me alone, man.

What to Where: Lazy Fall Day

Untitled

Hi there! I feel like I haven't done one of these What to Where posts in the longest time and I really do miss them. So today, I decided to bring these babies back!

You know those days when you have somewhere to be, but you don't want to spend hours getting all dolled up and pretty? Well, these outfits are for you! And me.

How to: Transition Your Wardrobe from Summer to Fall + Outfit Ideas!

Hi there! Fall is by far my favourite fashion season because I just love layering. Where I live, it gets pretty cold in the winter, like negative 25-40 degrees Celsius (so that's negative 13-40 degrees Fahrenheit). In the summer, it gets pretty hot, too, but my birthday is in summer, so I can tolerate the heat, especially because there's no school. In the spring, it's always wet and icky from all the snow melting, so that just leaves us with fall.

Because I'm a student, I don't exactly have a big budget (and I don't want to ask my parents for the money) to spend on a new wardrobe every season, or splash out the money to get whatever I want, so I've become quite resourceful with my clothes. There will obviously be some pieces that I can only wear for one season, but the majority of my closet is full of clothes that I can style differently and layer to transition them from season-to-season.

Today, I'm going to show you four outfit ideas if you're trying to reuse your summer wardrobe this fall. This is also great for those of you who are shopping the end-of-summer sales. Enjoy!

Back to School: 10 First Day of School Outfit Ideas

Girl | via Tumblr

Back to school season is one of my favourite times of the year.  That's why this year, now that I have a blog, I'm going to start a series all about it to help those of you going back to school this fall.  I'm so excited about this series, you have no idea how freaking excited I am.

To start it all off, I'm going to be sharing with you ten outfits that you could wear on your first day of school.  It was actually supposed to only be five outfits, but I kind of got carried away, haha.  Oops...

Anyway, they're a bit dressier than what I would wear to school on a day-to-day basis.  But since it's the first day of school, I usually tend to dress up a bit, just to make myself feel a bit more confident walking down the halls.

Fashion Week: Fall 2013 RTW - Part Two

So this is Part Two of my Fall 2013 Fashion Week post.  Be sure to read the other part as well if you want to know all of my favourites (which you probably don't but please read it anyway?  Maybe?).  Anyway... ENJOY!

Fashion Week: Fall 2013 RTW - Part One

As you could probably already tell, I'm a huge fashion geek and I'm very, very proud of it.  Since I only started this blog a few days ago, Fashion Week already wrapped up, but that's not going to stop me from writing about it.
