Treasure Hunt: May 2014

Hi there! So okay, I changed the name of this column. I just wasn't happy with the annoyingly long name "One of a Kind Finds" that honestly didn't sound that great either, so yeah. Like all things I'm unhappy with, I changed it to this - "Treasure Hunt." You know how they (and I) say that we find hidden treasures in stores or whatever? That's where this new name stemmed from and I thought it would be rather fitting.

This month, I have for you ten lovely items that I think are really unique and aren't necessarily things that you stumble upon everyday. Enjoy!

One of a Kind Finds: March 2014

Hi there! First of all, I'd just like to wish a very happy birthday to a good friend of mine called Gabi. I hope you get to spend your day with the most special people in your life and that your teachers won't dump too much homework on you.

Anyway, that aside, I'm back with a collection of lovely items (that all happen to be on sale, I might add) that I found this month. Little hidden treasures are what I like to call them. They are mostly spring-appropriate items because I'm really hoping for spring right now and Canada decided not to please me because we just got some more snow yesterday, so yeah.

Spring into Spring: 20 Spring Pieces Under $20

mãe, não acredita em nada do que eu postar aqui.

Hi there! Happy first day of spring, everyone! Okay, so in Canada, it pretty much looks and feels the same, but that's okay. Due to the change in weather during this time of year, no matter how slow, we (obviously) change our attire and while out (window) shopping this season, there are plenty of pieces that just get me so excited for spring.

Here are a few of those pieces, but all under $20 so you can still indulge in a bit of spring fun, no matter your budget.

One of a Kind Finds: February + Makeover!

Hi there! As you could probably tell from the title, there will be a few changes coming to this series. It was more of a wishlist-type post of rather expensive pieces that wasn't exactly reasonable, so I decided to incorporate a bit more of me into the series. If you've seen yesterday's post, you might've noticed that all the items I picked out (or most of them) were on sale and to be honest, that's how I shop. I only have about a handful of things in my closet that I actually got at full price. Maybe you think it's cheap, but I just think it's more fun to shop that way and you never know what hidden treasures you'll find browsing the sales section.

Now, I know that sizes can get limited in the sales section, so I'm doing my best to make sure that the majority of sizes are available for whichever item I picked out. Enough rambling, let's get into this new and improved list!

One of a Kind Finds: January

Hi there! This month, I seemed to gravitate toward really nice thick coats, or luxury-feeling/looking coats and expensive shoes. So kind of a weird month or a very normal month, depending on how you look at it or how well you know me. I really wish I had each and every one of these items in my closet. They're just so freaking awesome. Keep reading for a detailed list of the lovely, lovely items you see above!

One of a Kind Finds: December 2013

OOAKF: December 2013

Hi there! It's almost the end of December and I hope that all of you have had an awesome, amazing, fantabulous 2013 because you all deserve that. I know I had a pretty great year and fashion's had a good one, too. Here are a few of the wonderful hidden gems I found online this month that will end the year with a bang. And chandeliers. And flowers. Anyway, let's get into this month's list.

One of a Kind Finds: November 2013

OOAKF: November 2013

Hi there! Another month has (nearly) passed us by and I've had my fair share of online window shopping. This month, I was particularly drawn to textures - cashmere, velvet, knits... anything but for your typical cotton t-shirt. A good chunk of these pieces are a bit on the pricier side, but if you have the money to splash out on something special for your friends or yourself this holiday season, here are a few of my suggestions.

One of a Kind Finds: October 2013

OOAKF: October 2013

Hi there! Today is the 31st so that means two things: 1) it's Hallowe'en, so happy Hallowe'en, guys!, 2) it's the end of the month, so here's this month's One of a Kind Finds. If you don't know what this new series is, I first spoke about it in this post right here.

I actually bookmarked a ton of items this month, but I managed to narrow it down to eight blog-worthy items. Most of them have ridiculously crazy colours and prints while one of them speaks quite clearly for itself. See what I did there? Yeah, I do lame stuff like that. Click through for this month's list!

Fall Favourite: Layering

Fall-Winter-Days (everlasting-autumn: Love autumn? Then you’ll...) | via Tumblr

Hi there! It officially feels like fall where I live and if you didn't already know, fall is definitely my favourite season EVER. Sure, summer's great because there isn't school and there's my birthday, but it's just hot, man, and it's really hard sometimes to find the energy within you to not just throw on a tank top, denim shorts, and head out the door. Or not even get dressed at all, because what's the point in dressing up when no one's going to see you?

When I think of fall, I think of leaves changing, the resurrection of boots, mittens, everything pumpkin, and most importantly for us fashion lovers - layering. I just love layering, like it's not even funny. But after one or two weeks, I kind of get burnt out. Why? Because sometimes, I'm just not creative with my layering.

So with today's post, I wanted to share some really cool ways to layer to get your creative juices flowing for when you're putting together your outfits in the morning. If you think these ideas are totally not out-there and different, just think of it as any other outfit inspiration post. You'll thank me later. ;)
