Passion for Styling: My FIT Workshop Experience

Hi there! In one of my latest posts where I gave you guys an update on where I'd been for the past two months or so, and in that post, I mentioned that I was in New York to take a workshop at FIT. I didn't elaborate in that post because I wanted to dedicate a whole, lengthy post to the topic. Something so extraordinary and life-changing deserves its own spotlight.

I'd begged my parents to let me take a workshop at FIT for about two, three years now, but the timing was never right. The first year, we had a month-long trip to Vietnam planned ahead already, the second year, I had to do summer school, and then this year, it finally worked out.

Haul: New York City/Atlantic City 2014

Hi there! When I went to NYC and Atlantic City a few weeks ago, my family and I went on a crazy, crazy shopping spree. Honestly, I barely bought anything at all in New York as our schedules were so packed during the three days we were there, we didn't have any spare time to squeeze in some shopping time. We did, however, shop quite a bit in Atlantic City, which is big understatement. Keep reading to see what I got in both cities!

What I Did in Toronto: May 2014

Hi there! So like I told you guys a few weeks ago, I headed to Toronto a few weeks ago for a little family overnight trip for the long weekend. We didn't stay very long, but we did get to go to some pretty cool places. Hi there!  If you've read my important update, you know that I'm currently on vacation in a wonderfully tropical place on the other side of the world.  Because of this little fact, my flights will be extremely long, so I figured that I'd show you what I keep in my carry on bag.  Since it's "vacation season," I thought it'd be helpful for some of you who might be travelling this summer.

Hi there!  If you don't already know, I'm headed on vacation!  Actually, I'm currently on vacation as you are (probably) reading this, but you catch my drift.  Hopefully.

I'm going somewhere quite tropical, hot, and humid and I'm going to beach very often while I'm there.  That's why I decided to show you what I keep in my beach bag.  Maybe it'll help you if you don't know what you should keep in your beach bag to avoid that oh-my-gosh-I-forgot-this-and-that moment when you're at the beach.  Keep reading if you want to know what's in my beach bag.

An Important Update!

Hi there!  As you could probably tell from the title, I have something pretty important to tell you guys.  If you read my post on Monday, you might know what this post is going to be all about, but I wanted to make a "formal" announcement.  As you're reading this right now (unless you're reading it the day after it was published), I'm hopping on a plane to a tropical destination on the other side of the world for five weeks until August 16th.

Of course I'm super stoked to be going on vacation, but I'm also really bummed at the same time because I was looking forward to blogging all summer.  But fear not, the blog will not suffer - I won't allow it.  I've scheduled for posts to go up when I'm gone, but unfortunately, there are only so many posts I can write in advance.  Instead of posting everyday, I will only be able to post on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays until I get back with the exception of my birthday, August 13th.  By that, I meant that I will be posting that day.

Anyway, unfortunately, I won't be able to post this weekend, so the little cycle with start on Monday, July 15th until August 18th when my daily posts will start up again.

I will try my very best, but since I don't have very reliable internet on vacation, I can't guarantee that I'll be able to pop back in occasionally to post.  But like I said,  I will try my very best and I hope that you guys don't mind too much.

How To: Pack for a Long Vacation

Hi there!  So, I'm headed on a long, five-week vacation to a very hot place.  But don't fret!  I will still be posting regularly (every week day, so 25 posts!) during my vacation.  Anyway, then, my parents told me something that left my jaw on the ground - according to the airlines, I could only bring one suitcase, which I had to share.  And then they told me that there was a weight limit.  What?!

That feeling of disbelief and panic pretty much inspired this post.  Today, I'm going to share with you my tips on how to pack light - without sacrificing your style - for a long vacation.  I'll also be doing a post on my summer vacation packing essentials soon, as well if you're interested.  Enjoy!
