Sunday Funday: January 26/14

Hi there! I'm making an honest effort not to start each Sunday Funday with a short story about how crazy my week was because being predictable is the last thing that I want. Also, there are only so many ways you can phrase it.

Oh, and before I forget. You've probably noticed how a totally-lame-attempt-at-being-poetic type of title is missing from this post. Well, I decided to just make the date as the title to simplify everything for us all and minimise the cringing. Hopefully, that works out, haha.

12.5% done

I feel like it was just yesterday, or last week that I just started high school. Half of my freshman year is already over. I’m kind of shocked. So far, it’s been such an amazing experience, I’ve met so many lovely people and have had the freedom to grow and to just express myself. It just makes me so happy.

Music industry's Oscars 

You probably already know this, but I am a freaking enormous Taylor Swift fan, like it’s kind of crazy, which is why I’m so excited about the Grammys that is airing tonight because a) she’s nominated (for Album of the Year, too!!!) and b) there is a very high possibility that she will be performing “All Too Well,” my favourite song from her latest album. It’s going to be a fun night.

Happy [belated] birthday, little guy!

It was my little brother’s birthday this week and this year, I decided to make him a really special gift. He’s a huge freaking fan of Minecraft (like most boys) and he’s been talking about how he wanted this $60 Creeper hoodie, which is pretty pricey for a hoodie, so I figured that a beanie would have to do. Even though he found the gift before it even dried (the painted beanie was still on a soccer ball when he found it), he had no idea what it was at the time, so when he actually opened his gift, his eyeballs went crazy and I felt like the happiest sister in the world. There’ll probably be a DIY of that beanie up sometime next week.

Castle: Fashion Edition

As I’ve mentioned before, I absolutely adore the show Castle, a crime drama about a mystery writer named Richard Castle who shadows NYPD detective Kate Beckett. It’s funny because out of all the times I’ve spoken about Castle, I don’t think I’ve ever actually explained what it’s about.

Next week is going to an especially special episode, at least for me and all the other fashion-obsessed out there. Castle is notorious for making allusions or poking fun at pop culture, so this week, their latest target is the fashion industry, more specifically, Vogue. They’ve even got an Anna Wintour look-alike. It’s going to be pretty darn awesome.
