Hi there! Since Valentine's Day is coming up, I decided that a Valentine's Day-themed DIY would be appropriate. I've done something similar before (a DIY heart ring, to be exact), so I thought I'd bring out the wire again and make a delicate little ear cuff. I love, love, love ear cuffs, except I never seem to be able to find the perfect one that also happens to be in my price range. Oh, and my parents probably wouldn't love the idea of me wearing one either.
I first got the idea to make this when I saw this photo on Pinterest, something that I've been getting into again. I thought it looked like such a cute little thing, so keep on reading if you'd like to know how to make it yourself! It's super easy and I'm so in love with it. See what I did there guys? Aha, yeah okay.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 20 gauge wire in your choice of colour
- wire cutters
- pliers
Cut about a two-inch piece of wire.
Using your pliers, curve the ends.
Using either your fingers (nails) or the pliers again, make a little curve/bump-type thing in your wire. It should be fairly small if you want to be able to stick it in your ear. It might take you a few tries to get it just right!
Repeat that step on the other side. Try to make them both the same so the heart doesn't look lopsided.
Make a sharp bend with the wire to finish off the basic shape of the heart using your pliers.
What did you think of the DIY? Will you be trying out this DIY? How are you celebrating Valentine's Day?What other DIYs would you like to see? Leave your comments below!
This is so cute, I love it!
