Current Love: Plaid/Tartan

Hi there! It seems as if everyone has jumped on the plaid/tartan bandwagon for fall. The print often associated with the Scottish or a lumberjack's daughter's attire seem to have been incorporated in most of top bloggers' outfit posts sometime in the past month or so. Or am I the only who noticed that?



At first, I thought that plaid and tartan were different prints. I feel like the fashion world has tried to make them different things, to be honest, as if saying "tartan" instead of "plaid" was more chic. The Oxford Dictionary definition of "plaid" is literally "a checkered or tartan cloth."

Anyway, fussy names aside, let's focus on the beauty of this print. It has such a polished feel to it that I just can't help but fall in love with. The picture that reintroduced me to the lovely print was on Jane from Sea of Shoes's Instagram.
