January's Big Five

Hi there! We're only three days into January and there is so much to get excited about. So keeping with this monthly pattern, here are five things to get pumped about this month. Except some reading material, things to watch, and breakfast inspiration among many more. Enjoy!

1.  Pretty Little Liars comes back on the 6th

I have complained about the ridiculous joke that is the plot of this TV show, but it's addictive and no one can deny that. Since I've caught up over the break and am now up to date with the episodes, there's not going to be much stopping me from tuning in Tuesday night to check out the second part of season 5.

2. Taken 3 on the 9th

My dad was a fan of the previous two Taken movies, so he's curious to see how the third (and supposedly final) one is going to turn out. I saw the second one on one of the planes that we took over to Vietnam the summer before last.

If you're into action movies that aren't totally cliché (but still a little), maybe you'll enjoy this one.

3. Never Never by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher on the 11th

I've never heard of this particular book before, but I have seen this author's stuff on Wattpad before. While the synopsis is pretty short, it does seem like a really interesting read. Check it out below. (source)

Best friends since they could walk. In love since the age of fourteen. Complete strangers since this morning.
He'll do anything to remember. She'll do anything to forget.

4. {Inter}national Oatmeal Month... all month!

As you may well know, I'm a huge oatmeal fanatic and frequent The Oatmeal Artist in my spare time. Not that I really need another excuse to make oatmeal every morning, but maybe one of you has been meaning to try out oatmeal for breakfast. Maybe you should take this as an opportunity to try oatmeal one day this month. I know that oatmeal has a bad reputation of being boring and plain, but dress it up with some fruit, mash half a banana in there for some natural sweetness... there are tons of other ideas on Lauren's delightful blog. Which you should go check out, of course.

5. On SG: A Day in my Life: Winter Edition on the 29th

This is a type of post that I want to try out this winter during exam week. Because I have exams, I don't have to be at school afterwards, so I basically have a few days off as well as a few half days which will be so, so nice. I thought that since I enjoy watching follow-me-around vlogs so much and reading this kind of post, I'd try it out for myself when I'm not shackled to a school desk.

I'll also be doing a post on how to relax/prep one week before exams on the 15th if any of you are interested in that.

What are you most excited about this month? What other things did I miss? What's your favourite thing about January? Leave your comments and share your thoughts below!

Thank you so much for reading!

  1. YES YES please do a post on how to relax/prep one week before exams. I always get way too nervous or relax too much every exam ( like, there's no in-between) so I'd like to see how people handle it! Hope you have a wonderful January!
