Hi there! Today, I'm doing my very first haul! I was debating for a long time whether or not to do this post because I was worried that they were too YouTube-y or whatever. But blogging is all about trial-and-error and figuring out what works and what doesn't, so here it is!
Also, I'd just like to mention that I'm going to show you how I style some of the pieces because I find that just showing you want I got isn't worthy of a blog post. If you're interested in what I got for back to school, keep on reading!
Top - Phnom Penh Market | Pants - J. Crew | Shoes - G. H. Bass | Earrings - Forever 21
The first place I went to was some of the Premium Outlets in the States. My family and I have gone there every single year at least once since Black Friday when I was in sixth grade. Every time we're there, we always, ALWAYS head to the food court first, and then we go to G. H. Bass, which is where I got these absolutely adorable canvas and leather oxfords.
I've always loved J. Crew, but since it's a pretty high-end store, I couldn't ever afford anything there, which is why I was so delighted to find out that there was a J. Crew Factory Store at the outlets. It was still pretty pricey for my budget, but I found a really great pair of highlighter pink jeans in the sale section that were just too gorgeous to leave behind. They didn't fit as well as I would've wanted them to, but whatever. That's a minor detail. ;)
The minion graphic tee that I'm wearing is from the Phnom Penh Market in Cambodia. I got it while I was there over the summer on vacation. I don't actually like Despicable Me, I just thought the top was adorable, so I got it. And it was like three bucks, so the impulse buy didn't really hurt.

Shirt - Gap | Shorts - Gap | Shoes - G. H. Bass | Watch - Kenneth Cole
I don't usually shop at Gap because I can't usually afford anything there. But at the beginning of summer, they had some really amazing deals.
You guys know about my love for oxford shirts, so naturally, I had to pick one up when I was there. I got a striped one in a boyfriend fit, and I'm absolutely in love with it. I also got those denim shorts from that trip as well.
The last thing I got at the outlets was Nike. I was feeling pretty crap about myself for a while, so I needed some motivation to get active. I usually ran on my treadmill wearing my clunky Avia shoes, but every time I looked at them, they just made me want to go back into my room and go on my computer. They didn't get me excited at all. But these pink and black running shoes from Nike totally did. So I got them.
A week after that trip, I hoped on a plane (well, technically three) to Vietnam! I spent a lot of time shopping at Taka Plaza (aka the flea market because that's what it felt like) and it was just the best time. It was always really crowded (with people and products), but I loved the challenge, and everything was pretty well priced, so I didn't feel too guilty.
Top - Taka Plaza | Jeggings - American Eagle | Shoes - Converse | Cuff - Somewhere in Vietnam | Earrings - Forever 21
Top - Taka Plaza | Skirt - Zara | Scarf - Flea market | Shoes - Naturalizer
I also picked up a basic black and white striped tee that I couldn't believe I didn't already own. It's really simple, goes with everything, and adds a Parisian feel to any outfit.
While I was at the flea market, I got this beautiful, thick, and rich tapestry scarf that is just so soft. It's going to be perfect for the fall time. I'm just so excited about fall, it's not even funny.
The last thing I got at Taka Plaza was a black and white polka dot skater dress. It's such a simple and sweet silhouette and I fell in love with it the moment I laid eyes on it. It was like love at first sight, haha
That concludes my very first haul! Do you enjoy hauls? Would you like to see some more? Please let me know in a comment down below. I'd love to get your feedback and read what you have to say!
Thank you so very much for reading!

I love the tee with the galaxy and lion on it! Actually, I like the outfit the most :)And don't worry, the idea is great in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteAnd just another irrelevant question, how did you get those words on the photo(like the first one at the beginning of this post)? I wanted to do it but I don't mow how!
DeleteThanks for the encouragement! It's nice to get some feedback on my posts, and it's even better when it's good feedback. Glad to know that you liked this post!

About the words on the photo, you can just go on picmonkey.com and click on the "edit a photo" thing. Click on one of the buttons near the button on the left side with lots of speech bubbles and stuff. You can then drag a shape onto your photo and make it lighter (like I did in my photo). Just fiddle around with PicMonkey and you'll get the hand of it. :) And you can add the text later by clicking on the letter "P" which is in the list of icons on your left. I hope that I was able to help!

Thank you, Sanam! When I saw them in the store, I just knew I had to get them. They don't fit as well as I would've hoped, but they were pretty darn cute. :)
