Effortless Outfits for Busy Winter Mornings

Hi there! We all lead busy lives and the last thing we all want to do in the morning is spend an excessive amount of time staring at our closets trying to figure out what to wear. There's also a danger of falling into a repetitive pattern of wearing the same things in the winter over and over again.

To help your mornings get along a bit faster, here are a few quick outfit combinations for the winter months so simple you won't even have to think about it.

Sunday Funday: January 18/15

Hi there! This past week has been quite the fun one. I managed to post all the days that I was supposed to (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and today!), so I'm pretty proud of that. If things keep going like this, I'll probably get myself back on track with this whole consistency thing.

I thought that January would be such an insanely busy month for me since there are four birthdays that I have to celebrate, summatives to complete, exams to write, and sometimes, there's even Lunar New Year at the end of the month. Thankfully, this year, it'll be in February, so we'll talk about in a few weeks.

Hi there! With just a bit over a week until exams for me, I was starting to feel a bit stressed out, something I'm sure many of you students can totally relate to. It's all a normal part of the whole exam thing, but there are things you can do to better prepare yourself and relax beforehand so your stress levels don't get out of control.

Keep reading for a few of my tips!

Current Love: Intricate Braids and Oversized Beanies

Hi there! A combination that I've been very intrigued by lately is the whole braid and beanie thing. While the friend who I saw wearing said beanie had her long black hair flowing, it made me think back to some styles that I've seen before when the hair was in a braid of some sort with a cozy beanie to balance out the look.

Especially since it's winter, this combo would be awesome to bring a bit of life to your everyday style. Keep reading for more inspiration!

Beauty Trends I Can't Wait to Try in 2015

Image Credit: Shandi-lee via PhotoPin CC
Hi there! Something that I really got into at the end of 2014 was beauty. Suddenly, I felt like yeah, I should put the effort into completing my outfit with the right hair and makeup. I was also old enough that my parents didn't really care that much about how natural my face looks. Well, they'll make a questioning comment about the substances on my face, but they never made me go scrub it off.

I definitely want to be more adventurous with my beauty looks this year and change things up more often, so here are a few things I'm looking to try out.

Sunday Funday: January 11/15

Hi there! I hope that 2015 has been doing you well so far. I headed back to school this week and went straight into exam (studying) mode. There are tons of summatives and notes to revise, so while I only have four subjects (I'm semestered) and it's fairly relaxed because the summatives are done in class for the most part and my exams are relatively easy, I still want to do well, hence the mild level of stress.

Quite frankly, I didn't have the best start to 2015 since I started it with a serious case of the sniffles. It also started extremely cold and I made the mistake of trying to eat healthy but my portions weren't enough to support all the trekking I had to do in the cold so I was exhausted all week. But every week, everyday is a new lesson, so I'm just slowly getting wiser.

Very slowly.

Sunday Funday: January 04/15

Hi there! It's still so strange to me that it's already January, that it's already 2015. I think 2015 itself was a bit easier to swallow than realising that it was January for some strange reason. But like every year, every month, it'll wear off eventually.

Today is my last day and I'm sure lots of other people's last day of the winter break. It makes me really sad that it's over because I was sick for the vast majority of it and sicker than I've ever been (still sniffling here and there, actually) and I only got to truly enjoy a few days. I will do my damn best to make sure that my last Sunday will not be wasted, though. That would suck.

Today is also my parents' 18th anniversary, so we'll be heading out to celebrate that in a few hours (as you're reading this). Maybe I'll add a few photos in here after we've gone for the visuals to accompany what I'm sure will be an absolutely delicious Indian lunch buffet meal.

My Life Essentials + January Goals

Hi there and happy New Year! It's pretty crazy to think that we're in 2015 now and it's January, isn't it? I'd hate to add to a list of repetitiveness from all the New Year blog posts you might be reading, but hey, I'm just being honest here. I hope that you're all super excited about the newness of it all and that you prosper this year.

Today, I thought I'd share with you all some things - material things - that I find are absolute essentials in my life. They are just things that I can't quite get through my day without. I'm not in any way trying to say that you absolutely need all these things in order to survive because that is not the case at all (you really don't need a $40 agenda to survive AT ALL), but they do add a bit of colour and use in my everyday life.

I'll also be sharing my goals for this January, so let's get into it!
