Sunday Funday: February 23/14

Hi there! I hope that you’re all having a lovely Sunday morning, or whenever else you’re reading this. I don’t know about you, but reading and just relaxing on a Sunday morning to myself is my absolute favourite. Of course, that didn’t exactly happen this week due to the craziness of the Olympics and more specifically, the men’s gold medal hockey game. Basically, the family was up by 6:45. It was pretty exciting.

This whole week has been really awesome, actually, but also really busy, too. It wouldn’t have been so busy if I wasn’t up way too late watching the Olympics, but whatever, it happens once every four years, so I didn’t feel too bad. I’ve never been this excited about the Games before, but I can’t wait until next year. Well, technically, I can’t wait until the Games four years from now, but you know what I mean.

As I’m writing this now, Canada has just won gold for hockey (woot woot) and the Closing Ceremony’s about to start, so hopefully, it’ll be just as spectacular as the Opening one. It’s pretty bittersweet now that we’re at the end, but it’s been an awesome, exciting two weeks, people.

Unfortunately, the Olympics had taken over my life during that time and I haven’t been keeping up with my resolutions, to say the least. I have to get myself together soon to make the last week of the month a good one and you’ll get the full report, aha, this Saturday. I’ve been planning to make a few tweaks, once again to them to improve their clarity and I can’t wait to start attacking my goals in March again. Which reminds me, how is already nearly March? Crazy.

I had both English and French last semester, so that didn’t leave very much room for me to enjoy my own books. Thankfully, now that that’s all over, I can. I got The Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Galbraith, who is actually J. K. Rowling under a pen name, back in October or November, but I hadn’t gotten the chance to read it until now. Guys, it is so good. I’m nowhere near done (only on page 130-something) but it’s really, really good. Here's what it's all about:

Pretty cool, right? You should definitely read it, just saying.
