Sunday Funday: Life is an Adventure

Alívio Imediato

Hi there! Where has this week gone? It's already over and we're starting yet another week, a new beginning. That's how I like to think of things. A friend of mine has instilled that in me over the past few years that I've known her. Before, that's how I thought of things, but I wasn't nearly as hardcore about it as I am now. New beginnings give you more leeway to forgive yourself and give yourself a break. Every Sunday, I'm like, "This week, I'm going to go to bed early and not be a sleep-deprived-yet-semi-cheerful zombie for the rest of the week." I think you can guess how many times I actually went through with that.

But enough of my rambly intro. Let's get on to my other rambly rambles!

I love books. Did you know that?

all WE need is love.

House of Hades, the fourth book in the Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan, came out a few weeks ago and I finally got around to finishing it after all the homework that I've had to do lately. I fell in love with the series after my friend introduced me to it (aka forced me to read it). Just so you know, most of the time when I say "my friend," it's actually the same friend over and over again. She's been my best friend for what seems like forever, so I just thought I'd put thought out there. She and I were actually just joking around about it the other day.

The book was decent I guess, but not extraordinary. It's basically a continuation of the Percy Jackson series which was about demigods and Greek mythology.

Another book I finished recently was Allegiant by Veronica Roth, the last book in the Divergent trilogy. Let me just say that it was intense. Sure, after I finished it, I was kind of in shock, but not as much shock as everyone else because people have already spoiled it for me. At the same time, (I'm not going to spoil it for you, don't worry) it's also a really beautiful ending, so I reread. Again, and again, and again. That's when I started sobbing. And crying. I mean, I was already getting teary-eyed the first time I read it, and then the waterworks came into play. Fun stuff.

If you haven't read Divergent, I highly suggest that you do. I'm not going to attempt to give you a synopsis, so I'll just give you a link. Click here if you wanna know what it's all about, people. It's an awesome series and you should definitely check it out.

Don't you miss when you words meant something more?

One day

Lately, I've been doing this thing when I've been blogging on paper, or at least planning on paper as opposed to on my Evernote or in a Word document. At first, I wasn't very open to the idea of blogging on paper because you read blogs online and you write them online. There isn't much "old school" paper involved in the process. For some reason, I've been finding it a lot more relaxing, less stressful, and more fun to write down ideas on paper. Sometimes, when I go to write a new blog post, the stark brightness of the screen kind of freaks me out and the words don't come out the way I want them to. Paper's just a lot more forgiving.

What the eff is going on on PLL?

Pretty little liars

That's been my question ever since I started reading the Pretty Little Liars books and watching the series. It's just been one WTF moment after the other. Its two redeeming qualities are the fashion and its lucrative method of keeping us on the edge of our seats wanting more.

After watching the Hallowe'en episode this year, I was actually semi-satisfied, for once. We're one step closer to finding out what's going on with Ali, with A, with Ezra, and every other underlying and confusing storyline they've thrown our way these past three years. To be honest, I just really hope that Aria turns out to be A. That would just be epic and awesome. At first, I thought it was absolutely ridiculous, but after watching a few 'A' theory videos on YouTube, I'm kind of convinced that it's true. You never know, that is, after all, the beauty of PLL.

My creative juices are flowing.

I have been getting a lot DIY ideas lately, so they're undergoing a transformation to become blog posts very soon, so be on the lookout for that! When I came across this picture, I was just like, "I HAVE to DIY that shirt! It used to be for sale on ASOS for like $60+ (eep!), but it's been out of stock for a really long time now. As soon as I find a white t-shirt that works and get around to buying a fabric marker, I will do this DIY and show you guys how to make it! There are a bunch of other DIYs that I've been dying to try out lately, so get excited, peeps!

There are other bits and bobs here and there that I want to talk to you guys about, but I think its best to leave it to another time. Maybe next week, which is when I'm getting my braces off!!! Hallelujah. Ohmygosh, after three and a half years, all I have to endure is three/four (depending on how you view it) days. There will be pictures, don't you worry.

Thank you so much for reading!
- J

  1. You read Allegiant? I've been so excited about the book though I haven't read it, I haven't got the book yet! *slaps forehead* Well, I believe it'll be great, and I'm also glad that there are more to look forward! (THE MOVIE! :D)

    1. YEP! GO GET IT, MELODY! I'm also really glad that the series doesn't end when Veronica stops writing it and that there are movies coming out. Personally, Divergent doesn't look that great judging from what has been released, but I really, really, REALLY hope that I'm mistaken.
