Style Diary: Fresh Air

Hi there! Look who's outside again... Yeah, that's right, this girl. After treacherous weather for weeks, it's finally warming up, even if it's only supposed to be for a short period of time. I just love being able to enjoy being outside instead of making my trip from the bus stop home a rushed one because of the cold.

I decided to take advantage of the lovely weather by taking photos of a little outfit I put together. You know, because that's what I like to do in my spare time, not that I have that much of it, or any, to be exact.

Beanie: DIY | Hoodie: Garage | Dress: Fun & Flirt (Winners) | Boots: Call it Spring | Necklace: Dynamite

My mom picked out this dress for me when we were shopping one day at Winners. I was a bit surprised because the dress had a low revealing back and I thought she'd frown upon such fashion choices, but I guess not. I'm glad, too, because it has a lovely flowy feel to it because of the chiffon-like fabric and is an absolutely dream to twirl around in.

Even though I'm outside, it's still pretty cold, plus it's still winter, so I decided to cozy up with a thick knit hoodie and a beanie I DIY-ed from a while back.

For a bit of colour, I went for an emerald green statement necklace that brought out the greens in the hoodie. Instead of putting on some tights, I went for a knee-high boots because I thought throwing the tights on would just completely drown me in dark fabrics and just overwhelm my already short figure.

A song that I've just recently discovered is "No Better" by Lorde. You probably know that I'm absolutely obsessed with Lorde if you've been reading my blog for a while, so this was probably no surprise. I haven't taken the time to decipher the lyrics yet, but I thought it just fir the vibe of the outfit very well.

How has your week been? Is it dress weather where you are? What have been listening to lately? Leave your comments below!
