Looks for Less: Blair Waldorf

Last week, I wrote about how much I loved Blair Waldorf's (one of my favourite TV characters in the world)  style.  In that post, I promised a post where I recreate a few of my favourite Blair Waldorf outfits from Gossip Girl, so here it is!  Enjoy!

Doesn't she look so happy?  I'm completely obsessed with how laidback (at least for Blair Waldorf...) this outfit is and her gorgeous hair, which is why I decided to recreate this outfit and share it with all of you!

Blair Waldorf-Inspired #2

Pick a simple cream and yellow accented sheer top and pair it with a gorgeous pair of high-waisted orange shorts.  Because the top was a little bit more casual than the one in the photo, I went for a more polished pair of shoes.  A delicate necklace and top handle bag top it all off!

1.  Forever 21 Semi-Sheer Ombré Top
2.  TopShop Interlock Heart Necklace
3.  ASOS White Bag with Top Handle
4.  Forever 21 High-Waisted Pleated Shorts
5.  Kimchi Blue Floral Lace Loafers (if you're looking for a pair of moccasins, check out this pair from Minnetonka)

To me, this outfit is classic Blair.  It shows off what a classic lady she is, but still has her signature headband that reminds us GG viewers that she's not all that innocent.

Blair Waldorf-Inspired #3

Pick a fitted printed green and white dress and pair it with a simple pair of kitten heels in a coral-y colour.  Add a simple and short necklace that hugs (is that even the right word?) your collarbone and a delicate white headband to top it all off.

1.  ModCloth Croquet by Me Dress
2.  Baublebar Tiger's Eye Pendant
3.  Forever 21 Beaded Headband
4.  ASOS Pointed Heels

This outfit was probably one of the most adventurous and colourful ones that Blair has ever worn on the show.  She wore this on her trip to Paris with Serena and it seemed like she had such an amazing time there.  Her happiness showed through what she wore and I tried my best to recreate that.

Blair Waldorf-Inspired #1

It was pretty difficult to find a dress that was close enough to the dress that she wore that wasn't ridiculously expensive.  However, I did manage to find a cherry dress from ModCloth that worked for the outfit.  If you want to stay true to the colours of the dress, you could pick two pieces with similar prints, one in white and one in black.  You could also pick out a dress like this one and throw on a skirt overtop of it.  Tie a colouful scarf around your waist to mimic the sash on the original dress.  Throw on the a light beanie, and scarf around your neck, and a beautiful pair of black cork sandals.

1.  ModCloth Pull Up a Cherry Dress
2.  Zara Mint Printed Scarf
3.  Hategories Spring Beret
4.  Country Club Prep Houndstooth Needlepoint Cuff
5.  Zara Printed Scarf
6.  New Look Black Sandals
7.  TopShop World Trip Satchel

I hope that you enjoyed this post!  If you're stumped on what to wear in the morning and what to channel your inner Blair Waldorf, remember this.

  1. Blair Waldorf is my hero. I love her sooooo much. She was that character who at first you loved to hate her, but then you just ended up genuinely loving her. She has the most amazing style, coming in second best to Carrie Bradshaw. Carrie just gets the bigger thumbs up in my book, because she was the original afteralll.
