Sunday Funday: Firsts

my belly is purple

Hi there! This week was a week full of firsts, as you could probably tell from the title. First this, first that, first everything. I guess it was kind of expected considering that it's my first month as a freshman, and I'm kind of loving it.

This post will include a few things that aren't firsts and I really hope that you'll enjoy this!

My First High School Picture Day

Checkmate. ✔ | via Tumblr

That day was just hilarious, honestly. I have gym this semester first thing in the morning and at my school, like at most high schools, I'm sure, there are those girls who just smother their face in makeup everyday and look ten times older than they are.

On Picture Day, a good chunk of the girls in my gym class put on an extra pound of makeup and hair product and were so worried about getting their hair and makeup all messed up before getting their photo taken. My gym teacher even threatened to make us run 5K if we (aka THEY) wouldn't stop freaking out. It was hilarious. Well, it wouldn't have been so hilarious if we actually had to run the 5K, but whatever...

Will she say yes? Will she say no? We don't know!!!

Castle 5 finale

If you've been following my blog for a while, you'd know that my favourite show of all-time is Castle. It's been on hiatus for the summer and on Monday, it will finally be back! For those of you who aren't viewers and want to know what the heck the subtitle means, the season basically ended with Castle proposing to Beckett (the two main characters) and us Caskett shippers are just dying. But we will be revived when it comes back on Monday!

My First Trip to Target

Target just opened in my town this week and I was just so freaking excited. For all you Americans out there, you have some freaking amazing shopping over there. Like, appreciate it, Yankees.

Anyway, my mom was lovely enough to pick me up after school to drive me to Target for the first time!!! I was literally freaking out the whole car ride.

Usually, when big American chains come to Canada, or anything, actually, from the States comes to Canada, it often lets me down a LOT, so I was trying to lower my extremely high expectations. It didn't work, not that I needed it to because it was just amazing. Everything from how smoothly the cart moved to the fabulous shoe department got me just so excited. I ended up getting sucked in and getting a pair of wedge sneakers, combat boots, a grey t-shirt, and a whole lot of memories. So that was my first Target experience.

If I have oatmeal in the morning, it's going to be a good day.

Untitled

For the past month, I've had oatmeal every single morning with fresh fruit (my favourite fruits to add are definitely blueberries, raspberries, and craisins!). It's just so warm

Some people might get really bored with eating the same thing every single day, but I'm just so obsessed with oatmeal at the moment. I just thought that I'd share. Who knows, maybe there'll even be an oatmeal-y post here on Style Generis in the future, you never know. Hell, I don't even know.

My First High School Dance

ouu

Okay, this last one was just plain awkward. It was a dance for freshmen only and there were more Link Crew people than freshmen, haha. In their defense, I think that I would've enjoyed myself more if my middle school friends were there, but things change and I just have to accept it and make the best of it. But that doesn't mean it wasn't the second most awkward dance I've ever been to.

Did you have any firsts this week? Any TV shows coming back on air that you're excited about? What hae you been loving food-wise this week? Let me know in a comment down below!

Thank you so much for reading!
