Style Diary: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Hi there! This set of photos are really special to me because they were just so spontaneous. The process of taking these pictures came about on my bus ride home from school when I decided that I'd share with you what I wore that day. I was going to go to my usual brick wall, but I wanted to change it up a bit.

For the rest of that ride home, I had this vision (haha, that made me sound like such an artiste) of taking the photos at the park. So that's what I did, and oh, it was an... interesting time.

Top: Segments | Cardigan: Dynamite | Shorts: Dynamite | Beanie: Gap | Boots: Winners | Socks: Chinese Laundry | Bracelet: Dynamite | Watch: Kenneth Cole

On a more fashion-y note, you know those outfits that you spend a lot of time thinking up in your head, and then you just get so proud when you finally get a chance to show it to the world? Well, that's how I felt when I got the chance to wear this out after waiting patiently all week. You might think this outfit is completely and utterly awful, but I don't care. I really don't.

I wanted to dabble into the equestrian trend that I saw going around last year or so (a little late, I know), so I paired my green tee and tweed shorts with tall equestrian-esque boots. To break up the harsh contrast, I slipped on my favourite pair of polka dot socks and a big oversized cardigan to keep warm. I felt like something was kind of missing, so I added a beanie to top it all off.

Time to talk about this shot. When I saw this seesaw-like thing, I was immediately like, "I need to jump off that thing and capture a shot midair like Taylor Swift and Cher Lloyd did during the Red Tour." So I basically spent forever jumping off of that thing and going back onto it just to capture that perfect shot. After a million attempts, several weird stares, and swallowing my dignity, I came out with this. It was the closest thing to the impossible perfect that I could get.

How was your week, everyone? Anything exciting happened? What do you think about the whole beanie craze? Are you into it or not? Let me know in a comment down below!

Thanks for reading!
