Happy Best Friends Day!

Hi there!  If you didn't already know, today, June 8th, is (Inter)national Best Friends Day.  It was my best friends' birthdays last month (and the month before) and I tried to write them some letters, but every time I sat down to write them, nothing would come out.  So I decided that it was a good idea to dedicate today's post to my four best friends: Avya, Bohmyi, Deshna, and Kailey.  I love you guys and I don't even know if any of you guys are going to read this, but I'm just going to put it out there in the blogosphere.  This is definitely a really personal post, but I hope that you can relate and will enjoy it anyway.

Dear biffles (how we say "best friends for life"),

You guys are just my favourite people in the whole entire world.  I'm glad that we're still friends to this day, and I honestly don't know how you've dealt with my weirdness over the past two years.  But I'm not complaining because I would be completely lost without you guys.

I distinctly remember the first time we met.  I remember staring at your (Avya) aqua blue Converse at our middle school orientation because I was too nervous to actually look at anyone in the eye.  I remember you coming up to me a talking to me and we stayed together the rest of that day until we had to go back to our elementary schools.  It's actually pretty scary thinking back on this memory and knowing that if you didn't come up to talk to me, things probably wouldn't be the same today and we probably wouldn't be as close, so thank you so, so much for that.

And you, Bohmyi.  We've been doing this blogging thing together for, what, a month or two?  Maybe more?  Either way, I've enjoyed every single moment of it, and I've been meaning to tell you something recently, but I've never gotten around to it, so here it is.  Thank you, thank you, thank you so, so much for inspiring me to start my blog.  It has been the most amazing experience and it would've never happened if it wasn't for you.

We've definitely had our ups and downs, but like you said, it's made our friendship stronger than ever.  Thank you for still being by my side through all of my byotchy moments.

But most importantly, you taught me to forgive.  I'm someone who tends to hold a grudge for the stupidest reasons (and for perfectly reasonable reasons) but you taught me that if I still want someone around, I should probably forgive them.  You know, just maybe.

Miss DeeDee Shanango (Deshna), oh DeeDee.  Though we've only met this year, I feel like we're like childhood friends or something.  I feel like I can tell you almost anything and you won't laugh at me.  Actually, you would laugh at me, but you wouldn't run away screaming because of how weird I am.  Actually, never mind, you would do all those things, but in the most endearing way.  I think that anyone who's reading this who is not one of you guys are probably thinking that we're complete psychos, but whatever.  Anyway, it's pretty cool how we're both so obnoxiously weird and crazy that we just don't really have a care in the world when we hang out.  Thank the heavens that you didn't go back to your old school.

Last, but not least, Kailey.  You're one of the strongest people I know and though I don't know everything that you've been through in your supposedly crazy past from what little you've told me,  it's incredible how you spring back after all the obstacles life has thrown at you.  I'm so grateful to know that you're always there to lend me a helping hand and to give me your honest opinion on whatever I need help with.  Honesty is something so rare these days, so I'm so happy that I can trust you to tell me the truth, even if it's not what I want to hear (on occasion).

I trust and love all of you so much and it's killing me thinking about how we're all going to different high schools next year.  I don't know - and honestly, I don't want to think about it - if we'll ever be as close after we go our separate ways, but I just wanted all of you guys to know that I love you so, so much and trust you guys so much.

You have all been the highlights of my two years in middle school and I'm so thankful and grateful to have the four of you in my life. We've shared so many great memories together and I'm going to miss you so, so much next year.  I guess that I shouldn't wallow in my misery, but I can't help it.  There's nothing we can do now besides making me our last few weeks together the best ever.  Cheesy, but whatever, that's me.

I don't usually feel really comfortable telling someone that I love them because to me, those three words are so big and shouldn't be thrown around just whenever.  But I want you guys to know that I love each and everyone of you and once again, I'm so thankful to have you in my life.  So thank you so, so much.

I'm sorry if this was a bit... weird for some of you, but I really wanted to do this for my best friends today.  I hope that you enjoyed this and leave me a comment down below what you'd tell your best friend today to celebrate Best Friends Day.

Thank you so much for reading!
- J

  1. Juliana... </3
That was so nice of you to write that. I'm so honoured to have met you through middle school and I'm so happy we have this blogging thing to make sure that we keep in touch throughout high school. I don't know what the future will bring but middle school has been such an amazing experience with you forever and always by my side (I know you saw that Taylor Swift reference, haha).
Fourteen days, J. Let's make them count. x

    1. It's pretty amazing how we have this whole blogging thing. I really hope that we continue blogging throughout high school... I would be so sad if you stopped blogging, I can't even begin to imagine it.

I've loved middle school so much and I'm so happy to have been able to share it with you. :) And I obviously saw that Taylor Swift reference.

I can't believe that middle school is almost over, but whatever. We'll make the best of it. :)

  2. Oh Juliana! I love you so much!
I'm really truly honored to be your friend. I will never forget all the tumultuously weird memories we have had together this year! The year has passed so fast. Only 13 days left. Let's make the best out of it:)

Love you forever, remember you forever

    1. I'm going to miss you so much next year, Deshna, like, I can't even. Thank you for sticking around. :)

      - Juliana

  3. Oh Juliana, You're such a great friend thank you sooo much (late response, I know).
I don't check your blog as often as I should, maybe it's because I have zero sense of style and half the time you blow my mind. You're such a great friend and you understand me sooo well, you said that Bohmyi inspired you to start a blog, but you've inspired me. So I will be starting my own Book review blog sometime this summer. But not only have you inspired me to start blogging, you've inspired me become a better, more organized, well prepared, understanding person. And I love you soooo much for that, I can't wait for you to get back, and though we're going to separate schools maybe that just means that we will have more to talk about when we do see each other, which we will, all the time!!! I LOVE YOU with all my heart you are an incredible friend, thank you for being you!

    (Biffles for life!)

    1. Aw Kailey, there's no need to thank me. :)

To be honest, I'm surprised (in the best possible way) that anyone checks out my blog in the first place, haha. And you do have a sense of style and how the eff do I blow your mind?

And AWWW!!! I'm so excited to see your blog! Ohmygosh, this is so exciting!

I can't wait to get back, too and spend my last two weeks of summer with all of you!

It sucks that we're going to different schools, but I guess it was kind of inevitable. We all have different goals and dreams and each school will help us achieve them.

I love you and miss you!
