Outfit of the Day: 90's Kid

Hi there!  I'm usually someone who really likes to plan everything in advance, outfits included.  Being a student and blogger, I'm incredibly busy the majority of the time, so planning my outfits ahead isn't always possible, but I usually have a clear idea of what I want to wear in my head.  Unlike my usual outfits, this one was completely spontaneous.  I literally saw this t-shirt in my closet, thought it looked lonely, and decided to work with it and wear it that day.

Keep reading to see the details of the outfit!

To me, this outfit was pretty 90's-inspired.  I paired a simple off-white/cream t-shirt that I purchased at my local thrift shop partially tucked into a pair of blue shorts from Aéropostale that I got on sale last year.  It was incredibly hot outside that day, so I didn't want to layer.  I put on a pearl necklace from Laura to add a bit of interest to the outfit.  To add to the whole  playful and slightly sporty vibe of the ensemble, I went for my babies - my black high top Converse sneakers.  To top it all off, I put on my Kenneth Cole watch that I wear all the time.

I love how effortless it ended up looking and I was so comfortable in it all day, despite the nearly unbearable heat.  There was one thing that bothered me though... every time that I purposely partially tuck in my shirt into my shorts or skirt, I'm always so worried that people will think that it happened by accident.  I don't know if that's just me, but it's something that I'm always so paranoid about whenever I tuck my shirt in.  Please leave me a comment if you have the same "fear."  I'm really curious.

I finished off the playful look with my black Converse high tops.  I love how Converse pretty go with everything.

Any summer plans?  What's your summer uniform?  Leave me a comment and share your thoughts!

Thank you for reading!

  4. Another good thing in buying and wearing trendy beaded jewelry is you do not want to spend thousands of greenbacks to have people who will appreciate your look and your image. Fashionable beaded jewelry like necklaces, earrings and bracelets are available in wide variety of styles and designs. You'll only spend one or two dollars to few hundred bucks depending on the kind of materials you select for your jewelry.
